Promote Social Order to Achieve Social and Ecological Justice for Communities to Prevent Illegal Artisanal Small-Scale Gold Mining

The Indonesian National Police (POLRI) has succeeded in suppressing illegal artisanal small-scale gold mining (ASGM) that been taking place Mount Botak, Buru Regency, Maluku Province, Indonesia. However, POLRI only creating a temporary absence of ASGM. This study aims to analyse an additional role could play achieving social and ecological justice by promoting positive functioning order. We used case method collect data from documentation literature studies on ASGM cases Botak. findings this reveal pressure against national local governments may have impact the recommends should, addition performance its formal enforcing law maintaining security order, as group acting promote order achieve for communities around areas.
